Victoria Kidd, principal talent at Kidd Communications, is a veteran communications professional with 20 years of professional writing, editing and PR/marketing experience. Kidd began her career as a news reporter at The Daily Item, a community newspaper in Sunbury, Pa., where she quickly earned readers' trust and industry recognition for her in-depth feature writing and investigative reporting on such varied topics as autism, environmental hazards, local politics, homelessness and heroin addiction. In 2002 Kidd joined the communications staff at Susquehanna University, where she worked for 15 years before founding Kidd Communications. She launched her career at Susquehanna as a media relations liaison, serving as a university spokesperson and primary campus contact for local, regional and national media. Her work in this role included development of proactive public relations plans and crisis communications management.
From there, Kidd transitioned into publications management and institutional marketing. For 10 years, she served as the editor of two university magazines and directed advancement communications efforts in support of alumni relations, annual giving and capital campaign goals. As a writer, editor, content creator, communications strategist and project manager, Kidd has collected experience in advertising, editorial planning, video production, magazine layout and design, e-newsletter management, email and direct marketing, social media campaigns and web analytics.
With 20 years in the professional communications trade, along with post-undergraduate study in creative writing and ample professional development in various areas of marketing communications, Kidd possesses expertise in writing, editing and project management of publications in print and on the Web.

In her spare time, Kidd enjoys reading, creative writing, amateur photography and the great outdoors. Her topics of interest include (don't cringe!) politics and current affairs, literature, philosophy and religion.
